HISTORY

Always in harmony with the development of new technologies

1980er

Anton Burger started his career with a vision to provide professional IP services to companies and strengthen their international market position. By the middle of the decade, he hired his first employee and invested in a modern Olivetti IT infrastructure.

1990er

ABP relocated to Bahnhofsweg 4 in 1990 and fully embraced IT-supported data processing for its internal workflows. In 1994, the company introduced DISIS, a digital document management system for IP rights, which was a groundbreaking software in the field of intellectual property.

2000er

The year 2001 saw ABP PATENT NETWORK move to its present location at Rosenauerweg 16. This decade saw the company firmly establish its three core areas of expertise. In 2008, Hannes Burger joined forces with Clemens Ofner to found the law firm Anwälte Burger und Partner.

2010er

A significant transformation is taking place in digital file management and in 2014, DISIS was replaced by uptoIP^®. ABP PATENT NETWORK AG was established in Switzerland. In 2017, ABP Munich was established, followed by ABP Hong Kong.

2020

ABP PATENT NETWORK GmbH is a significant participant in the market, providing its customers with a robust IP management tool, uptoIP^®. It covers the most extensive parts of the IP rights lifecycle with its IP research and IP renewals divisions.
